CEO: Rostelecom to invest 1 bln rbl in single cybersecurity platform
MOSCOW, Nov 14 (PRIME) -- Russian state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom will create a single cybersecurity platform on the basis of a recently acquired Solar Security and will invest over 1 billion rubles in the project over 18 months, President Mikhail Oseyevsky said on Wednesday at a news conference.
“Providing cybersecurity is priority for Rostelecom. The single platform will enable us to reach a high level of economic efficiency within every organization and in such a way to raise the level of security of Russian companies,” Oseyevsky said.
Rostelecom Vice President for Information Security and General Director of Rostelecom-Solar Igor Lyapunov said the investment will done in infrastructure, software, design, installation, and staff.
The company launched the first three services available via its connection channels with the starting service comprising protection against network attacks and security of e-mail and web applications.
The platform will focus on a massive business-to-business audience.
